The Atomic Cafe
I'm really liking this film. It's a nice change from the stale documentaries (even though documentaries are different today than they were decades ago, a lot of them still share a common routine) that I'm used to watching. I find it interesting how they can manage to express a certain point of view without narration. Normally, one needs words to convince someone of something. While there are words, they have all been said in the past and are not part of a narration. I find it amazing how the directors could twist the images and words of our history into something that many of us may not have expected. I also appreciate the dark humor in this - it's what steers the documentary away from being a boring twist of past events and instead creates the documentary that we know of today.
